Case: Parenting

Ron and Elizabeth both acknowledged the other as a good parent of their 9 and 11-year-old children and wanted to share care, but had lost the ability to communicate with each other. During the pre-mediation meeting, the PMS mediator recognised the couple’s need for help with other parenting issues and was able to recommend a suitable parenting course. During the mediation itself, the mediator facilitated an effective flow of communicate and a successful parenting agreement was reached allowing 50/50 shared care. The parents were so happy they returned for property settlement. And the real winners were the children, who could finally relax into enjoying the time they spent with each parent.
